Traditionally, a favourite occasion at Portmarnock Hotel and Golf links with residents and locals alike, serving a brand new take on our traditional Afternoon Tea in The Seaview at Portmarnock. Visitors can expect specially selected luxury teas, a delicious assortment of small cakes, pastries and savouries and of course the option of a few glasses of bubbles for those in a celebratory mood. Originally invented by the 7th Duchess of Bedford in 19th Century England to stave off a mid-afternoon ‘sinking feeling’, Afternoon Tea has since become a much-loved tradition and one we feel should be honoured from the panoramic windows for one of the best views in the house: The Seaview. There isn’t a better way to close off a leisurely afternoon with friends on the golf course or strolling along the beach.
