The Quarterdeck serves a range of afternoon tea – classic Cornish Cream Tea, Traditional Cornish Afternoon Tea, Captain’s Afternoon Tea (with Prosecco) and Admiral’s Afternoon Tea (with Champagne). Homemade scones, cakes and sandwiches are paired with Cornwall’s finest clotted cream, local jams and a wide selection of teas from the nearby Tregothnan Estate – the home of the first tea grown in England.

Afternoon tea is served daily 15.00 – 17.00

Located in a secluded bay on the Roseland Peninsula, The Nare Hotel is a luxurious country house hotel by the sea. The Nare’s overlooks the long and sandy Carne beach and has been Cornwall’s highest rated hotel for the last 25 years. Away from the madding crowds it is an oasis of peace and tranquillity, with spectacular sea views over Gerrans Bay.


The Quarterdeck is the hotel’s two AA rosette restaurant. As its name suggests, the restaurant has a nautical theme, with classic yachting décor, teak panelling and floor to ceiling windows that bring the sea to your table. There is a sheltered terrace for delightful al fresco dining during the summer.
